This is my most requested print from Dean Robbins' The Astronaut Who Painted The Moon, a picture book biography about Alan Bean, the fourth man to walk on the moon, who also happened to be a painter.

I realized in order to really get the feeling of being somewhere first, I needed to show no evidence of human exploration. Not even footprints. Instead, you're in the place of the astronauts. You've just put your feet on the surface, you're about to begin work. The landscape is still pristine. All you can see is your own shadow. -SR
